हर धूप उस नक्षत्र, राशि, ग्रह, योग या दोष के लिए चुनी गई विशेष समिधा — चंदन, अर्जुन छाल, बेल, नीम, पीपल, शमी, देवदार जैसी लकड़ियों — से बनाई जाती है। आधार सदा एक ही रहता है: देसी गाय का गोबर और हनुमान मंदिर के चढ़े हुए फूल। Every dhoop is built from the specific samidha prescribed for that nakshatra, rashi, graha, yoga or dosha — woods like chandan, arjun bark, bel, neem, peepal, shami and deodar. The base never changes: desi cow dung and flowers offered at Hanuman temples.
